Dear Friends and Family,
I’ve decided to start a blog, and I’d love for you to check it out. My first post, called Joining the Conversaion, explains why I started a blog. I also wrote a piece called The Intersections of Life, which shares why I named the blog intersections.life instead of simply “Kevin Washington’s Blog.” Both posts are quick reads—about three minutes each.
But what I’d really like your thoughts on is my first full series: a three-part reflection on the dangers of oversimplifying matters of faith. It uses the situation in the Middle East as an example—a heavy topic to start with, I know. My goal isn’t to add commentary on the politics, but to explore how we as Christians often think about complex issues, and how my own perspective shifted as I studied matters more closely. The research ended up reshaping not only how I view the Middle East but even certain aspects of my theology.
Each part takes about ten minutes to read, so feel free to take your time. When you do, I’d love to hear your honest feedback. Your comments help me know who’s reading and how the conversation is landing.
If you find the posts interesting, register on the site and share it with others. I won’t be running ads or sharing email addresses. I’ll only use the mailing list to let you know when I post new articles—probably every one or two weeks.
Thanks for your support, and thanks for reading. I’m especially curious to hear what you think, so please don’t be shy about commenting.
Warm Regards,
Kevin
